It’s a typical love story. Full of good days and bad. A story of grief. Of coming back again. Of hard work and long sunset walks and trying forever to find the sweet spot. A show about what it takes to believe in each other. And where we can go together. A place where past, present, and future mesh in a visceral way.
When The Moon Was Home is not a static event with content meant to be viewed at a distance. It is immersive from beginning to end, with touching, gripping, hanging, hearing, wearing, listening, eating and connecting – all bearing witness to the process. To the rhythm and form of a life well lived.
Our functional wood and fibre art, an unlikely duo, together unveil sacred glimpses of deep love and passion, both whispering to us – “Remember.”
Come remember with us.
With great love,
OOO
(Tyler, Marah and Nick)

On February 5th, 2022 while out running errands, Samuel K. Hoffart was struck and killed by a drunk driver on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Just like that, he was gone. Our show is dedicated to him.
He was my pops and my hero. He was his daughter Bailey’s best friend. He was a blooming grandpa-flower to her kids. He was his youngest boy Ben’s teacher and business partner on a beautiful farm. The farm they built together.
My brother and I have his exact hands. Our sister has his heart. Her kids have his curiosity. We all have his light.
Since Dad left this plane, OOO has been trying to find a way to honor him. To make him proud. He was the shop’s biggest fan and supporter (alongside momma of course). Since he lived for his family, he just wanted to see his kids do well. He wanted us to work hard, to be good to ourselves, and to be there for each other.
So that’s what we’re doing. We’re working hard. We believe in each other. We’re all in. We’re putting ourselves out there, with our entire collective heart, and we’re hoping Sam Hoffart can feel it out in the cosmos, the vibration of his love still living.
When The Moon Was Home is dedicated to Dad and the light we’ll always follow.
-Tyler
“He believed in me with all his heart. I can remember feeling like he believed in me too much, that maybe it was even a fault of his. But he never stopped, and eventually I started to see myself through his eyes. I think everyone deserves that, to have someone believe in you so much that finally you start believing in yourself.”
– Bailey Veskrna, daughter (dad’s favorite)
